[UAG] Update 2

After Forefront TMG SP1 Update 1 Microsoft released Forefront UAG Update 2 available for download on the Microsoft download center.

The main updates are:

• Citrix publishing support: Forefront UAG fully supports Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 and its replacement Citrix XenApp 5.0.
• Citrix client computer support: Forefront UAG supports client computers with 64-bit operating systems accessing Citrix XenApp applications.
• Client Components: The Forefront UAG SSL Application Tunneling component is now supported on 64-bit Windows 7 operating systems for 32-bit applications.
• Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI): Forefront UAG fully supports publishing remote desktops using VDI.
• SSTP user and group access control: Forefront UAG now provides a finer authorization mechanism allowing administrators to authorize individual users or groups for SSTP access.
• SSL handshake: Forefront UAG now provides better handling of the SSL handshake including the case when the application server requires client certificate credentials for the negotiation.
• MAC address support: Forefront UAG Network Connector supports a wider range of network adapters with a larger valid MAC address range.

Après la sortie de Forefront TMG SP1 Update 1 Microsoft vient de publier Forefront UAG Update 2.

Parmi les principales nouveautés on peut noter :

• Une amélioration du support de Citrix pour le portail de publication
• Amélioration du support de Windows 7 64bits pour les composants clients
• Support complet du Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
• Amélioration diverses

Microsoft has just released the Update 1 for Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway Service Pack 1 available for download on the Microsoft Download Center.

Microsoft vient de publier l'Update 1 pour Microsoft Forefront TMG SP1.


Parmi les améliorations principales on retrouve :

• SafeSearch. Amélioration des filtres qui s'appliquent sur le texte, les images et les vidéos parmi les résultats des principaux moteurs de recherche. SafeSearch peut s'appliquer à un groupe bien précis ou à toute l'organisation.
• Catégorisation d'URL. Prise en compte des catégories annexes positionnées sur une URL.
• Support for Exchange 2010 SP1 – Fournis une solution suite au problème lié à Exchange 2010 SP1, pour plus d'information rendez-vous ici.
• Résolutions de bug et amélioration diverses, la liste complète sera bientôt disponible.

Cette mise à jour est disponible en téléchargement en anglais pour le moment sur Microsoft download center mais les autres langues seront bientôt disponibles.

Attention cette mise à jour s'applique uniquement à TMG 2010 SP1. Si vous n'avez pas encore déployé le SP1 vous pouvez le télécharger en version anglaise ou française avant d'appliquer l'Update 1.

[KB] MOM 2005 console crash

In a production environment when the number of managed FCS client is around 4 000 or up the MOM 2005 console crash.

It's a known problem and Microsoft has published in order to solve it.

So for a deployment on a large number of FCS clients don't forget before installing the client to deploy the KB949874 on these servers:

• Collection server
• Clients computers

Dans un environnement de production lorsque le nombre de poste gérés par FCS dépasse environ plus de 4 000 clients que la console de MOM 2005 crash.

Le problème est connu chez Microsoft qui a sortie à cet effet un patch afin de résoudre le problème.

Donc dans le cadre d'un déploiement en production pour un grand nombre de postes clients vous savez ce qui vous reste à faire avant l'installation cliente pensez à installer sur les rôles serveur suivant la KB949874 :

• Serveur de Collecte
• Postes clients
