Microsoft published yesterday for the MSDN/TechNet subscribers the service Pack 1 for Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2.
The main new features are:
- Dynamic memory: related to Hyper-V R2. It's now possible to dynamically allow memory to a virtual machine without shutting down the guest machine.
- RemoteFX: related to the desktop virtualization through Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). It's now possible to virtualize the Graphical Processing Unit (GPU) in order to offer the same end user 3D experience. For example the user could now use Aero on the virtualized desktop.
