With the popularity of IaaS (Infrastructure As A Service) cloud service of AZURE, we could ask us if we could deploy DirectAccess on this one?
If we take a look at the KB2721672 the answer is no and we could ask us why, indeed the other part of URA like VPN and Site-to-Site VPN seems to working well.
The answer make sense when we look how DirectAccess and AZURE IaaS works:
- DirectAccess need IPv4 and IPv6 stacks
- AZURE IaaS provide only IPv4 stack and not IPv6stack
I want to thanks:
- Benoît Sautière for his advice about the KB2721672
- Ronald Beekelaar for providing information about IPv6 in AZURE IaaS
